Napoleon Complex

First off, I hope y'all had a merry Christmas and a happy new year. I've completely fallen off the wagon when it comes to updating the blog. I have no good excuse. However, my resolution (in addition to going on a diet and to the gym thrice weekly) is to update at least once a week.

As that girl who was always a head taller than the boys in her class in grade school, and generally still has to wear flats when she goes on dates, I've always been conscious of heights.

I'm not the Jolly Green Giant, but I am a perfectly respectable 5'9". Actually, I'm 5'8" and 1/2. But that half inch means a lot. It's the typical cutoff height for professional modelling. I don't want to be a model, but it's nice to know that I have the height, even if I lack the figure and face. That said, I've listed the most specific heights I could find, and did my best to double check my sources. For some figures, a height range was the best I could find. In those cases I went with the median height.

  1. Love the range of persons (and heights, wow!). I also love that Chief Tuskaloosa was apparently a giant. And I'm loving the fact that Alexander the Great and I would have seen eye to eye, although I might have to find my own Bucephalus or I could never keep up with him. Great post, fun to read through, keep 'em coming!
